Slow feeders work really well! My dog now eats more slowly and doesn't have any problems with bloating anymore.
We introduced the raised slow feeder to our German shepherd, Rocky, and the results have been fantastic. He now takes his time to chew every mouthful and seems better than ever. A real improvement in his eating habits that we couldn't be happier with.
This bowl has really helped our dog eat at a calmer pace. He used to eat far too fast, but now he takes his time to chew properly. It's reduced the risk of digestive problems, and we're really pleased with the results.
The description says the water bowl holds 1.6 litres. It might do if you fill it to the brim and don't use the no-spill insert. With the insert in — and for the function to work properly — the bowl only holds about 1 litre.
That feels quite little for our Newfoundland girl, and we have to top it up fairly often. I wish you could buy a deeper bowl that holds a bit more water.
That aside, it's a brilliant product. Most of the water stays in the bowl and we no longer have a mini swimming pool in the hallway.
Handy that you can raise it to a comfortable height.
We don't really need the food bowl with ridges to make her eat more slowly, but it works and our girl happily eats from it.
Great to be able to adjust the height, but I'm a bit less keen on the bowls being plastic, which I try to avoid myself. Otherwise the features are brilliant.
Good, but I'd like to be able to buy extra aluminium bowls for it - doesn't seem to be an option.

Seems good, doesn't spill much water, and it's a slightly better food bowl (finally a straight-sided one for when the dog eats)...!
Sadly this one's going back. I've got a Giant Schnauzer, and whenever he couldn't get at the food the whole lot ended up on the floor with the slightest nudge from him.
