My cat hates having his nails clipped, so I got this harness hoping it would be less of an ordeal for both of us. He's fine with me putting him in the harness and hanging it in place, and yesterday I managed to clip two nails before he decided he'd had enough and started trying to get out. I just put him back down on the floor, he slipped out of the harness, sat down next to it and didn't run off the way he does when something really scares him - so he's clearly fine with the harness itself, it's just the nail clipping he hates. But we're taking it slow, a bit at a time, and I think we'll get there. The fit was a bit tricky though, as he's a small Bengal, so I went by weight first and bought the smallest (size S), but it was too short between his front and back legs, so I ordered an M instead, which was spot on for length. That said, he's slim as I mentioned, so it feels a bit big on him otherwise.
